Laser Engraving

Laser-engraved leather adds a unique touch to any project, bringing personalization, creativity, and craftsmanship to life in ways that go beyond simple decoration. Whether you’re working on a handmade wallet, journal cover, keychain, or furniture accent, incorporating laser engraving allows you to enhance both the aesthetic and functional value of your piece.

We now offer laser engraving on leather, either as a separate piece that you sew onto your item or engraving it directly onto a piece of leather will be part of the final product.

Here are some ways engraving can be used.

  1. Personalization with Meaning
Engraving names, initials, or meaningful dates turns an ordinary item into a cherished keepsake. Whether it’s a gift or something for yourself, a personalized touch makes it more special.

  2. Storytelling Through Design
Leather engraving isn’t just about words—it’s about creating a visual story. You can incorporate intricate patterns, landscapes, or symbols that represent heritage, culture, or personal passions.

  3. Enhancing Functionality
Engraved markings can serve a practical purpose, such as measurement guides on tool holders, branding for identification, or even artistic labels on handmade goods.

  4. Adding a Professional Touch
A custom engraving can give handmade leather goods a finished, high-quality look. Whether it’s a monogram, a logo, or a subtle geometric design, engraving can elevate the craftsmanship.

  5. Commemorating Special Moments
Whether it’s an anniversary gift, a family crest, or a motivational quote, engraving leather ensures that important memories and messages are preserved in a lasting way.

  6. Mixing Materials for Contrast
Laser engraving pairs beautifully with different leather finishes, allowing you to experiment with depth and contrast. The burned-in effect creates a timeless, rugged look, while combining engraving with stitching or metal accents can lead to striking results.  Light colors generally work better.  We've included samples below of images engraved on different types of leather

A Few Things You Will Want to Know

  1. We cannot put pictures on the leather.  This may change but right now we have not been happy with the results of putting images on the leather.
  2. The color of the engraving will be different for each color of leather.  It will usually be a shade of the leather, sometimes lighter or darker.  We cannot control the color and do not know the exact color until we actually burn it
  3. We can make a sample before actual production.  This is useful if you are planning on making more than one piece.  The cost is $50 and can be ordered below.
